The Vijay Mandir Palace at Alwar is a lovely Mansion glittering with its royal elegance, built by Maharaja Jai Singh Prabhakar in 1918 AD.
A picturesque lake overlooking the palace makes it a fascinating sight.A beautiful garden with an undulating lake is an added attraction to its majestic charm. A fabulous Sita Ram Temple in the palace attracts number of devotees, especially during Ram Navami celebrations, the temple premises would be overcrowded with the temple devotees. While the ground floor has been converted into govt. offices and district courts, the upper storey is presently a museum.
One needs prior permission from the Secretary to visit the palace. Since there are family disputes over the ownership, visitors are not provided with the great privilege to have a glimpse of this splendid citadel.
