Prithviraj Smarak is a memorial of Prithviraj Chauhan, the king of Rajput dynasty. It is an epitome of courage and valour. It is located on the way to Pushkar. While going towards Pushkar, you can easily spot this statue and can spend some time there to get mesmerising view of the whole Ajmer city. This statue is situated at Taragarh road, Ajmer.
This statue of the last ruler of Chauhans is constructed of black stone. The figure is mounted on a horse with bow and arrow in his hand. The facts about Prithviraj Chaunhan are engraved under the statue. He was throned in the 12th century to rule Delhi and Ajmer. The statue is located on a hill top. It is built amidst step gardens on hills of the Aravalli range. From this spot, one can easily get the paranomic view of the Ajmer city. There is also a valley nearby. It is open on all days of the week during timings 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM. The ideal timings to visit this place is from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM. It provides an amazing view of the city during night-time. There is an entry fee of INR 10 for all.
