Rao Bikaji, the city's founder, built one of the city's most ancient structures, the Kodamdesar temple, which is still regarded as one of the greatest locations to visit in Bikaner. It is well-known for its asymmetrical form, which has an idol surrounded by nothing but marble floors. There isn't a true building here with rooms or doors.
Bhairon Ji, another avatar of Lord Shiva, is shown on the idol. Rao Bikaji intended to build the city of Bikaner near this temple, but he changed his mind and erected it somewhere else. Local artisans and craftsmen that come to see the temple may also be seen during the Bhadrapad fair.
