Day 01. Arrival Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, meet Aagman India tour representative for assisted transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. After check in, begin the Delhi city tour with a visit to Red Fort and even drive past through the imperial side of Delhi (India Gate, President House - Rashtrapati Bhawan and Indian Parliament House) which is also the center of Indian Democracy. After city tour, transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02. Delhi- Agra
After breakfast, check out Delhi for a drive to Agra. Upon arrival here, check in the hote. Post lunch, rest a while and in the evening, visit the timeless heritage marvel of Taj Mahal and drive through the Agra Fort. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday).
Day 03. Agra - Lucknow
Post breakfast; check out Agra for a drive to Lucknow with packed lunch. Enroute visit Sankasia, the first Buddhist heritage site on the way of Find Buddha Tour. Here, the lord descended from heaven after giving sermon to his mother after three months. At the spot of the descent, one can visit a temple enshrining a Buddha statue. The site also hosts an excavated Ashokan Elephant Pillar. Continue drive to Lucknow and upon arrival here. check-in the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04. Lucknow – Varanasi
After early breakfast, check out Lucknow and drive towards Varanasi. Check-in at Hotel. Post lunch, afternoon is free at leisure or move in the city for personal shopping. Dinner and overnight in Varanasi.
Day 06. Varanasi - Bodhgaya
After breakfast, check out Varanasi for a drive to Bodhgaya (243 km / 6.5 hours). Upon arrival here, check-in the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 07. Bodhgaya
In the morning, visit the Great Mahabodhi Temple Complex, which still enshrines an offshoot of the original Bodhi Tree, meditating under which brought Lord Buddha to enlightenment. After paying respects to the temple complex which is now the major Buddhist pilgrimage and a world heritage site; continue towards exploring the essence of Bodhgaya with a walk through the monasteries. Also visit the landmark attraction of Bodhgaya - the 80 ft high Great Buddha Statue, Sujata Temple, dedicated to the maid who gave the milk and rice bowl to the emaciated prince after austere meditation. Return to the hotel for lunch. Post lunch, visit Dungeshwari caves. Here, also lord followed austere meditation. Return to the dinner and overnight in Bodhgaya.
Day 08. Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Bodhgaya
After early breakfast, begin drive to Rajgir, the ancient Rajagriha. A kingdom at the time of Buddha, this site witnessed the lord and his teachings many times. Here at the Vulture Hill or Griddhakuta, lord gave many enlightening sermons to his followers. Saptaparni Caves here hosted the first Buddhist council after the Mahaparinirvan of Buddha.
Amidst modern marvels of the town, one cannot miss the World Peace Stupa or Shanti Stupa. After Rajgir, move towards Nalanda and visit the ruins of world oldest university here. After lunch in Nalanda, return back to Bodhgaya for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 09. Bodhgaya - Vaishali - Kushinagar
After early breakfast, check out Bodhgaya for a drive to Kushinagar. Enroute visit Vaishali where Lord Buddha announced his final exit or Mahaparinirvan and stop over for lunch. Upon arrival here, check in the hotel. Visit Mahaparinirwana Temple where Buddha took his last breathe and Rambhar Stupa where Lord was cremated. After the enlightening sightseeing, return to hotel in Kushinagar.
Day 10. Kushinagar - Lumbini
find buddhaAfter breakfast, check out Kushinagar for a drive to Lumbini with packed lunch. (Nepal). Stop at India/Nepal border for Visa/Immigration formalities before driving towards Lumbini. Upon arrival here, check in the hotel. Lumbini is 15 min. drive from the Nepal Border. In the noon, visit Lumbini, the birth place of Prince Siddhartha, who later became Buddha. Overnight in Lumbini.
Day 11. Lumbini - Kapilvastu - Sravasti
After breakfast, check out Lumbini in Nepal for Sravasti. Enroute visit Kapilavastu. This is the kingdom where Lord Buddha as a prince spent his childhood. Here, visit the ruins of the palaces. Later continue the drive to Sravasti and on arrival check-in the hotel. Post lunch; visit Sahet Mahet at Sravasti. Here, Buddha spent his 24 monsoon retreats with his followers. Also visit Jetvana and Ananda Bodhi Tree. Dinner and overnight in Sravasti.
Day 12. Sravasti- Lucknow-Delhi
After breakfast, check out Sravasti for a drive to Lucknow. After lunch in Lucknow, transfer to Railway station to board Shatabdi Express train to New Delhi in the late noon.
Depart Lucknow station and dinner on board on train. Arrive New Delhi station at 22.05 hrs. Meet the representative on arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Delhi
Day 13. Delhi
After breakfast, visit the heritage circuit of Delhi with a visit to Chandni Chowk. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14 . Delhi Departure
After breakfast, transfer to airport to board the connecting flight for onward destination.
