Day 01 : Delhi

Arrive Delhi. Meeting & Greeting at airport. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 : Delhi – Jaisalmer
After breakfast sight-seeing tour to Delhi, which includes Jama Masjid – the largest mosque of Emperor Shahjahan, Red Fort, Raj Ghat- cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, to India Gate – a 42 meter stone arch built in the memory of the Indian Soldiers who died in World War II, Drive past the President’s House & Parliament House, Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutab Minar & Lotus Temple. Evening transfer to railway-station to connect train # 4059 DLI JSM Express dep. Delhi at 1800 hrs for Jaisalmer. Overnight on train.

Day 03 : Jaisalmer
Arrive Jaisalmer at 1300 hrs. On arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon, drive outside the city to see Amar Sagar Lake and to Sunset Point for a superb view of the city. In the evening visit Sam Dunes on camel back. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Jaisalmer
Full day free to visit the Desert fair by your own. The fair has snake charmers, puppeteers, acrobats and folk performers. This desert festival of India closes with an enchanting sound and light show amid the sand dunes on a moonlit night. Though the festival is mainly a grand display of performing arts, there are several other events that give a glimpse of the desert culture. Exquisitely embroidered skirts, hand-woven shawls, rugs, carvings on wood and stone, camel decorations, embroidered leather bags, ethnic silver jewelry and terracotta can be bought at this desert fair.
Evenings are meant for the main shows of music and dance. Continuing till late into the night, the number of spectators increases by each night and on the final day, under the full moonlit night, the whole place is swarming with people who make it a point to be there to witness this mega show. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 : Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

Full day at Fair. Later transfer to Railway-station to connect Train to Jodhpur by # 4809 JSM- JU Express Dep. Jaisalmer at 2315 hrs. Overnight at train.

Day 06 : Jodhpur
Arrive Jodhpur at 0520 hrs. On arrival transfer to hotel. After breakfast full day city tour visiting the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, Mahamandir Temple and the Kailana Lake. Rest of the time is free for leisure. Overnight in hotel.

Day 07 : Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Udaipur
Morning drive to Udaipur (259 kms / 6 hrs) en-route visit Ranakpur Temples. Ranakpur – 98 kms before Udaipur, the Jain Temples has grand structures and beautiful sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple and none of them are similar. Arrive Udaipur and transfer to hotel. Evening boat ride at Lake Pichola (subject to water level) Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 08 : Udaipur – Delhi – Onward Destination.
After breakfast, city tour visiting City Palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Fateh Sagar Lake, Sahelion ki bari (Queen’s resort for her friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum). Later in the afternoon transfer to Airport to connect flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi transfer to International Airport to connect flight for your onward Destination.

Kota Tourism

Kota is the industrial hub of Rajasthan & has an atomic power plant. It is situated on the banks of Chambal river & famous for its fort & dams. Jag Madir – Kishor Sagar : This beautiful red-stone palace has a wonderful view of the man-made lake called Kishore Sagar. It was built in 1346 A.D. by the Prince of Bundi.

Chambal Garden : A brilliantly designed garden at the Amar Niwas. Its lush surroundings make it a popular picnic spot offering enjoyable boat rides. This beautiful garden also houses crocodiles.

Brij Vilas Palace Museum : This government museum is located near Kishore Sagar, it houses old coins, stone idols etc.

Maharao Madho Singh Museum : Located in the old palace, the museum houses wonderful collectibles of Rajput miniature paintings of the Kota school, exquisite sculptures, frescoes and armory.

The Government Museum : The museum houses a rare collection of manuscripts, coins and figures of Hadoti sculptures.

Kota Barrage : A part of the irrigation canal system on the Chambal River, this beautiful setting is ideal for outings and evening strolls.

The average temperature in the daytime hovers somewhere around 42ºC. The average temperature falls in the range of 9ºC.However, the climate of Kota may experience some chilly nights in the winter season. The annual average rainfall in Kota is approximately 885.6 mm. The best time to visit Kota is during the period of November to early April.

Airways : Kota does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is Jaipur (240 km).

Railways : Kota railway station is located at the extreme northern end of the town. As Kota is on the main Delhi Mumbai railway line via Sawai Madhopur, a number of trains pass through and halt here.

Roadways : The main bus station in Kota is located on Bundi Road near the eastern bank of the Chambal River. There is a good bus service from Kota to Ajmer (201 km) , Chittorgarh (200 km), Jaipur (242 km), Udaipur (374 km), Jodhpur (379 km) and Bikaner (434 km).

Karni Mata Fair Bikaner, Rajasthan

Significance: Dedicated to Karni Mata who is highly respected in the state of Rajasthan

Karni Mata fair is held twice every year at Deshnok in Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The first fair held during the Navratras in March-April, is the larger out of the two. The second fair is also held during the Navratras in the months of September-October.

This dazzling fair is held to honor the revered Karni Mata, who was a wandering ascetic with supernatural powers. The Karni Mata Fair is conducted at the shrine of Karni Mata in Deshnok.

Significance:
Karni Mata, highly respected in Rajasthan, dedicated her life to the service of the poor. It is believed that she possessed the supernatural powers. The foundation of Deshnok was laid by her and she is worshipped by her followers, Charans. The Karni Mata fair is held each year in her honour.

Highlights:
Karni Mata Temple
The Karni Mata temple located in Deshnok is a structure in stone and marble. The temple is also known as Madh. The shrine houses a 75 centimeter image of the deity. The image is embellished with garlands and a mukut (tiara). The children of the Rajputs are brought here for seeking the deity’s blessings on Jadula (their first hair cut).

The tourists can visit the temple from 4 in the morning. The priests perform aarti (prayer) and offer bhog (specific food). The pilgrims make offerings that may either be attributed to the priests and the workers of the temple (dwar-bhent) or meant for the maintenance of the temple (kalash-bhent).

A peculiar feature of the temple is the swarm of brown rats wandering inside the temple. These rats are believed to become lucky and are made offerings by the devotees.
Many visitors throng the Karni Mata Temple during the fair to seek the blessings of Karni Mata.

Overview

In this tour, your tour guide will come to meet you in your hotel in Jaipur. First you can visit Amer fort : Earlier to the Kachwahas, Amer was a small place built by Meenas in the town they consecrated to Amba, the Mother Goddess, whom they knew as ‘Gatta Rani’ or ‘Queen of the Pass’. The fort is originally believed to have been built by Raja Man Singh during 967 CE. Amer Fort, as it stands now, was built over the remnants of this earlier structure during the reign of Raja Man Singh, the Kachwaha King of Amber. The structure was fully expanded by his descendant, Jai Singh I. Even later, Amer Fort underwent improvements and additions by successive rulers over the next 150 years, until the Kachwahas shifted their capital to Jaipur during the time of Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727.
