Day 1- Delhi arrival
Upon your arrival, you will be picked up by our staff member and escorted to your pre-booked hotel for some rest, the rest of the day is at leisure. Delhi is a hub for food junkies and Shopaholics, you can pay a visit to Paratha Gali of Chandani Chowk to try some delicious Indian food and Hauz Khas for shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2- Delhi excursion
Post breakfast, your Delhi excursion will begin with sightseeing of Qutub Minar- A 234 feet high minaret which was built by Mughal emperor Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak, India gate which was is a war memorial dedicated to the soldiers of first World War and lotus temple which is a fine example of the modern style of architecture with its 27 petal shaped marble leaves. Post this, you will pay a visit to the Red Fort which was a major political and ceremonial center of Mughal Dynasty. This fort is made of red sandstone in the Mughal style of architecture. You can surprise your taste buds with spicy street food of Delhi during the excursion. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3- Delhi-Agra transfer and excursion
Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Agra which is known for the former seven wonder – Taj Mahal. It was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal who died during childbirth. It was built in 1643 with the help of 20,000 artisans by white marble. Upon arrival at Agra, you will be escorted to your hotel for some rest. You will visit this magnificent piece of art in the evening where you can enjoy the beauty of the Taj and Yamuna River with sunset. You can try the sweet delicacy of Agra ‘Agra Petha’ on the streets outside Taj and Mughal cuisine in Agra as well. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4- Agra-Jaipur transfer via Fatehpur Sikri
Post breakfast, you will be paying a visit to the Agra Fort which was a major residence of Mughal era before Delhi. Post-excursion of this site you will be taken Jaipur where in the middle of the route, approximately 35 KM away from Agra, you will be taken to Fatehpur Sikri which boasts of world’s biggest gateway built by Mughal Emperor Akbar to memorialize his victory over Gujarat. You will visit the Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai’s Palace and the Tomb of Salim Chishti which is considered one of the finest examples of the Mughal style of architecture. After arrival at Jaipur, you may take some rest at your pre-booked hotel and check out the local Bazaar for traditional souvenirs. You may also plan to visit Chokhi Dhani resort to try the flavorful cuisine and folk dance of Rajasthan. Overnight stay at a pre-booked hotel in Jaipur.
Day 5- Jaipur excursion
The Pink City of Rajasthan is dotted with lots of heritage destinations that amaze every traveler who come to visit India. Post breakfast, you will be taken to the Amer fort, where you can choose to experience the elephant safari to reach the gateway of Amer Fort. Amer Fort is one of the most visited forts of India because of its unique blend of Rajput, Mughal and European style of architecture. Post this, you will be visiting the Jal Mahal palace that situated right in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake, Hawa Mahal palace- wind palace with 953 windows and Jantar Mantar which is the biggest astronomical observatory to observe celestial objects with the naked eyes. You can gather some useful stuff from Bapu Bazaar and beautiful gemstones and jewelry at reasonable prices form Johri Bazaar of Jaipur. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6- Jaipur – Delhi – Thiruvananthapuram
Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi where you can board your flight to Thiruvananthapuram and have the rest of the day at your leisure. You can visit the nearby marketplaces and food joints to have the exquisite taste of South Indian food.
Day 7- Thiruvananthapuram excursion
Post breakfast, you will set out to explore the major IT hub of India which is the capital and largest city of Kerala. This city, besides housing many sciences and research centers, is home to various historical sites of national importance. The Padmanabhaswamy Temple is a fusion of Kerala and Tamil architecture which has a 16th –century Gopuram, worshipping Lord Vishnu. You will also visit Napier Museum which is a 19th-century housing various artifacts, bronze idols, temple chariot, and ivory carvings. You can spend the rest of the day on Lighthouse Beach in Kovalam, doing some recreational activities. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kovalam.
Day 8: Kovalam excursion
You can kick-start your day with a hearty breakfast and then set out to explore Kovalam. The Vellayani Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Trivandrum, hosts a huge boat race during Onam. You can then visit Vizhinjam Cave Temple which is a rock-cut cave temple containing 8th-century rock-cut sculptures and Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium to see a unique collection of aquatic life. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 9: Kovalam – Kanyakumari – Kovalam
After a hearty breakfast early in the morning, you will leave for a trip to Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of India. There you can visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial which was built in the honor of Swami Vivekananda, Gandhi Memorial Mandapam which has been built on the spot where Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes were kept before immersion such that on 2nd October, Gandhi’s birthday, the first sunrays fall at the exact spot where his ashes were kept, and the Vattakottai Fort which is an 18th-century for coastal defense on the Southern tip of India. After Kanyakumari excursion, you will return to your pre-booked hotel in Kovalam for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Kovalam - Alleppey – Kumarakom
After waking up early in the morning and enjoying the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast, you will leave to visit Alleppey. After you settle in your hotel room and relax for a while, you will be taken to the Alappuzha lighthouse which was built in the 19th-century and houses a small history museum; International Coir Museum which has a unique collection of coir made objects; The Great backwaters where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of lakes, rivers, and canals in stunning houseboats. From there on, you will travel to Kumarakom where you will pay a visit to the Vembanad Lake, the longest in India and largest in Kerala, where you can enjoy boat racing; on the banks of Vembanad lies the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which is a paradise to a number of migratory birds; Bay Island Driftwood Museum which is a cylinder-shaped museum housing a rare collection of driftwood sculptures. To prevent a hectic schedule, you can pay a visit to these places as per your comfort. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 11: Kumarakom – Thekkady – Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Thekkady which is a popular tourist destination because of its pleasant weather and scenic beauty. Here, you will be first taken to Gavi Forest to witness the beauty of nature and the stunning view of Sabarimala in the lush green surrounding. Later, you will visit the Chellarkovil viewpoint which is famous for its lush green mountains and cascading waterfalls. Then, you will go to the most site in Thekkady, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary which is an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve located in Cardamom Hills and Oandalam Hills of Western Ghats. Another major attraction here is the Periyar Lake. Overnight stay in a pre-booked hotel in Thekkady.
Day 12: Thekkady – Munnar
Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Munnar or “Kashmir of South India” is a popular hill station in the Westen Ghats. After a period of rest, you will be taken to Eravikulam National Park which has a wide variety of fauna and flora like Nilgiri Tahr, lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, black-and-orange flycatcher, etc. With grasslands, shrublands, and forests place is a haven for nature-lovers; Anamudi which is the highest peak in Kerala and South India giving it the name “Everest of South India”; Thommankuthu waterfall which is a 7-step waterfall; Muniyara Dolmens which are prehistoric dolmens belonging to Neolithic Age. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 13: Munnar – Cochin
After a sweet morning in the hill station, you will travel to Cochin which is a major port city commonly known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea”. There, you will be taken to Fort Kochi which was once a fishing village and is now a part of some water-bound regions of the mainland Kochi. It has a beautiful Jain temple, Fort Emmanuel which is a ruined fort at Fort Kochi beach, Santa Cruz Basilica which is one of the 8 basilicas in Kerala, and an Indo-Portuguese Museum. You will also visit Hill Palace which is the largest archeological palace in Kerala. Then, you can spend the rest of your day at Willingdon Island, the largest artificial island in India. Overnight stay at a pre-booked hotel.
Day 14: Cochin – Delhi
You will have a pleasant morning at your hotel with a hot cup of tea. Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi where you can board a flight to embark on a new journey.
